The VA Medical
Center located in
Minneapolis, MN is a
premier teaching
hospital providing a
full range of
comprehensive care
for the men and
women of the armed
forces. This
state-of-the art
facility is among
the largest and most
active in the VA
system and has over
600,000 patient
visits in an average
year. Meyer
Contracting has a
long-standing
partnership with the
VA Hospitals as a
Government
Contractor.
In 2008, Meyer
Contracting, a
general contractor
out of Minneapolis,
performed demolition
and renovations to
the VA Vascular
Special Procedures
Center. The project
required
coordination with
the Equipment
Manufacturer for
electrical and HVAC
requirements. In
addition, the space
received new
finishes, integrated
ceiling with
structural support,
cabinetry and
lighting. The work
was performed
contemporaneously
with ongoing patient
procedures in
adjoining spaces.
This required
coordination of
working some off
hour shifts to
enable continuing
operations. |
