In
late November 2009,
Meyer Contracting
celebrated the
groundbreaking for
Frogtown Square. The
project consists of
ground up
construction of a
four level senior
housing & retail
center with
underground parking.
The senior housing
has 50 apartment
units with
complimentary
activity and service
areas. The retail
center has 11,000 SF
on the 1st level and
a community center.
The project will
utilize GEO thermal
hear and other green
technologies.
Frogtown Square had
multiple funding
sources including
HUD, City of St.
Paul and 3 other
sources. It also is
a pioneer project
for the City of St
Paul section 3
program.
Meyer has worked
extensively with St.
Paul and Section 3
to assure all goals
are exceeded. Given
Meyer’s extensive
experience working
with minority &
disadvantaged
business, Meyer has
been advised to help
craft Section 3
program.
