Our
Management Team
The
leadership team at
Meyer Contracting is a
diverse team of Professional
Engineers and Construction
Personnel. The teams’
commitment to a project begins
at the onset. Project managers
work closely with experienced
field personnel in planning a
project from start to finish.
The process includes reviewing
plans, developing timelines, and
careful analysis of challenges
that may arise.
A
professional strength of Meyer
Contracting is its creative
problem solving capabilities and
its ability to implement that
mind set throughout a project.
With proper communication and
well-prepared plans, Meyer
Contracting can effectively meet
any challenge that may arise,
often exceeding project
deadlines and expectations.
Introducing
the Management Team:
Kathy Meyer
Owner and CEO
As
a Native American woman, Kathy
Meyer has defied the statistics
that challenge the Native
American community. After
loosing her mother in a tragic
alcohol related car accident
when she was very young, she was
unwavering in her determination
to break the stereotype of
Native Americans. As a
result, she was the first in her
family to graduate from high
school and the first to earn a
college degree. In 1984,
determined to create a better
life for their kids, Kathy and
her husband LeRoy, began Meyer
Contracting Inc.
Today, Kathy Meyer is the CEO
of Meyer Contracting Inc.
Kathy donates her time to
organizations that are very
important to her. She has
had the privilege of holding
leadership roles in various
organizations, at both a local
and national level. These
include: National Association of
Minority Contractors (NAMC),
Association of Women Contractors
(AWC), Minnesota American Indian
Chamber of Commerce (MAICC) and
most recently the Native
American Community Development
Institute (NACDI).
Meyer Contracting is committed
to helping small businesses in
the community succeed, and it’s
through Kathy’s leadership that
they’re able to do so. Meyer
Contracting has been able to
mentor and provide business
opportunities to many woman and
minority owned businesses.
